Monetary Authority Of Singapore Working With Industry To Apply Distributed Ledger Technology In Securities Settlement And Cross Border Payments

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today announced the successful conclusion of the proof-of-concept project to conduct domestic inter-bank payments using distributed ledger technology (DLT). The project, in partnership with R3¹ and a consortium² of financial institutions, was first announced on 16 November 2016 by MAS.
